Subway Communications System
EMS Aviation has been part of the team that is building one of the largest rolling stock procurements in the world. Panasonic Transportation Systems Company engaged EMS Aviation to manufacture digital communication systems under the MTA NYCT R160 Subway Car program. EMS Aviation worked with Panasonic to deliver the first of these systems in 2005 to ALSTOM Transportation Inc. and Kawasaki Rail Car Inc., the two Carbuilders under the R160 subway car procurement.
Components of the digital communication systems include automated announcements, railcar data displays and PA systems for communication between the conductor and passengers. This contract allows EMS Aviation to do what it does best – build complex electronics with precision and accuracy, quickly and cost-effectively.
EMS Aviation has a long history of manufacturing excellence for OEMs around the world. This relationship is an example of EMS Aviation’s ability to execute and perform.
