Not all data processing environments are climate controlled and operate at "normal" altitude. EMS Aviation's technology minimizes the effects of environment on data processing. Our ruggedized file servers feature proprietary disk protection (EPOD) technology that combines software, hardware and mechanical packaging to protect disk drives from harsh conditions such as altitude, temperature, humidity, and vibration.
EMS Aviation's products are in operation throughout the world, providing reliable service for military and commercial applications. Among our longest-standing customers are top OEMs including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Rockwell Collins, and Panasonic. In addition, we have been selected by Airbus for an Ethernet switch/router/ firewall and disk-based servers as “Supplier Furnished Equipment.” Current and solutions under development include:
- Avionic disk-based video and file servers developed by EMS Aviation are in use throughout the world, including thousands of avionics-class servers and avionic products such as ruggedized file servers, video-on-demand servers, and terminal data loaders.
- Avionic IP network products.
- Avionic data loaders: Permanently installed content loading device that enables airlines to quickly offload their in-flight entertainment (IFE) and aircraft maintenance data and load new IFE content.
