A basic eNfusion Broadband® system enables the use of a laptop to access e-mail, Internet and VPNs from virtually anywhere in the world (over landmasses or oceans). Passengers can receive and send e-mail without interruption during all phases of flight (approach, landing, pitch, on the ground, etc.), at any altitude and during very heavy weather.

This system may be configured to provide a phone connection as well as the Internet. The basic system can also be scaled up after installation. By adding an eNfusion cabin gateway, for example, a principal can add capabilities like multiple wireless IP phones, Wi-Fi hotspots for Internet and e-mail and the use of passengers' own cellphones and PDAs (BlackBerry®, iPhone, etc) in the cabin.

System Components

This eNfusion Broadband® system typically includes the following components: a High-gain antenna (a 2LRU antenna assembly mounted either on the fuselage, or the tail radome); an HSD-400 High-speed data terminal (a single 8 MCU unit installed outside the pressurized cabin). Scalable
The basic eNfusion® system you install now can be upgraded at a later date should the principal's requirements change. The same system is capable of enabling cabin phones, Internet, and cockpit communications.
